Micro Blog: You’re All You’ve Got…

I’ve been doing a lot of self reflection lately and that calls for honesty. Realizing some things I was wrong about, things I should’ve spoken up about, things I should’ve done differently, things I should’ve changed…sooner.

Through all of this is the constant urge to feel regret, remorse, shame, pity, sadness and even denial, but I’ve come to realize that decisions were made based on the absolute best circumstances at those times.

We can’t keep looking back to the past and regretting our decisions or what we’ve done. God gives us new mercies and grace every single day, it’s almost a slap in the face not to take Him up on such beautiful offers.

This is not to say that you should live with reckless abandon regarding the choices that you make, but if you did what you knew was right, and you sought the Lord, rest, knowing that all is well. If you have to make amends with someone, do that but at the end of the day, the most important thing is this: you must learn to forgive yourself, you’re all you’ve got!
